Astrology: Can the Stars Really Shape Your Life?
Overview
Few topics generate as much curiosity—and as much disagreement—as astrology.
Some people read their horoscope every morning.
Others dismiss astrology entirely.
Some believe the positions of the planets influence personality, relationships, and life's direction.
Others see it as entertainment.
So where do I stand?
After years of studying neuroscience, psychology, human behavior, spirituality, philosophy, and the patterns that shape our lives, I've come to a conclusion that may surprise people.
I don't believe astrology should become the authority over your life.
I believe your greatest source of guidance has always been much closer than the stars.
It's within you.
What Is Astrology?
Astrology is an ancient practice that attempts to interpret the positions and movements of celestial bodies—such as the sun, moon, and planets—and relate them to personality traits, life events, and human behavior.
For thousands of years, civilizations across the world have used astrology in different ways.
Some viewed it as a spiritual language.
Others used it to make political decisions.
Some continue using it today as a tool for reflection and self-discovery.
Its influence on culture is undeniable.
Whether its claims accurately describe or predict individual lives remains a matter of ongoing debate, and there is no scientific consensus that astrology can reliably predict personality or future events.
Why Are People Drawn to Astrology?
I don't think most people are searching for astrology.
I think they're searching for understanding.
People want answers.
They want clarity.
They want purpose.
They want reassurance that their life has meaning.
When someone feels lost, confused, or uncertain about the future, anything that offers direction becomes attractive.
That's understandable.
We all want to know we're moving in the right direction.
The real question isn't whether astrology feels meaningful.
The question is where we ultimately place our trust.
The Search for Guidance
One thing I've learned through my work is that every human being is searching for guidance.
Some look to astrology.
Some to personality tests.
Some to religion.
Some to psychology.
Some to philosophy.
Some to mentors.
Some to success.
None of those are necessarily wrong to explore.
But I believe no external system should replace your own discernment.
Throughout my life I've become increasingly convinced that the most important guidance you'll ever receive isn't found by looking farther away.
It's found by looking deeper within.
The Divine Algorithm
This is one reason I created the framework I call The Divine Algorithm.
I believe every person has been created with an incredible capacity for wisdom, discernment, intuition, creativity, and purpose.
Rather than depending primarily on external systems to tell us who we are, I encourage people to strengthen their relationship with God, develop self-awareness, and learn to recognize the quiet inner guidance that continually points toward truth.
I believe that guidance becomes recognizable through:
- Intuition
- Conscience
- Peace
- Love
- Wisdom
- Reflection
- Discernment
- Recurring life patterns
- Honest self-awareness
To me, these are far more reliable foundations than allowing any chart or horoscope to define who you are.
Why Self-Awareness Matters More Than Your Birth Chart
Whether or not someone finds astrology personally meaningful, one thing remains true.
Your daily decisions shape your life.
Your habits matter.
Your character matters.
Your relationships matter.
Your beliefs matter.
Your willingness to grow matters.
Those things influence your future every single day.
This is why I spend so much time teaching about subconscious programming.
The Other 95%
In The Other 95%, I explore how much of our lives are quietly influenced by subconscious beliefs, emotional conditioning, habits, and learned patterns.
Many people assume something outside themselves is holding them back.
Often the greatest obstacles are internal.
Fear.
Limiting beliefs.
Unexamined assumptions.
Old emotional wounds.
Negative self-talk.
These hidden influences shape our lives far more than most people realize.
When we begin understanding them, genuine transformation becomes possible.
The Heart Compass
Another concept central to my work is what I call the Heart Compass.
The Heart Compass represents the quiet inner ability to discern what leads toward truth, integrity, peace, compassion, and love.
Fear often speaks loudly.
The ego constantly demands attention.
The Heart Compass usually speaks quietly.
The more we cultivate stillness, focused breathing, prayer, gratitude, and honest reflection, the easier it becomes to recognize that guidance.
No horoscope can replace your responsibility to develop wisdom.
What About the Stars?
I absolutely believe the universe is extraordinary.
The night sky inspires awe.
The precision of creation invites wonder.
The beauty of the cosmos reminds us how much remains beyond our understanding.
Looking at the stars can deepen our appreciation for creation.
But admiring creation is different from allowing it to determine our identity.
I believe our purpose is discovered through our relationship with God, the way we love others, the choices we make, and the person we become.
Questions Worth Asking
Rather than asking:
"What do the stars say about me?"
I encourage people to ask:
Who am I becoming?
What fears are controlling my decisions?
What subconscious beliefs are limiting my life?
Am I living according to truth?
Am I becoming more compassionate?
Am I listening to my intuition?
Am I growing closer to God?
Those questions have transformed my life far more than any prediction ever could.
A Better Way to Understand Yourself
If your goal is self-discovery, I believe there are deeper questions than your zodiac sign.
Understanding your subconscious programming.
Recognizing recurring life patterns.
Strengthening your relationship with God.
Learning focused breathing and meditation.
Developing discernment.
Living with intention.
Practicing gratitude.
Serving others.
These practices don't simply describe who you are.
They help shape who you're becoming.
Continue the Journey
Everything I teach is built around one central idea:
Lasting transformation begins within.
In The Divine Algorithm, I explore how inner guidance, discernment, and awareness work together.
In The Other 95%, I explain how subconscious programming quietly shapes nearly every decision we make.
In The Heart Compass, I explore how to recognize the quiet pull toward truth, peace, purpose, and authentic living.
Through Who Programmed You?, I guide people through practical exercises, focused breathing, journaling, and reflection designed to help them better understand themselves instead of allowing unconscious patterns to control their lives.
These conversations continue every week through The Way Within Church, where we ask honest questions, explore spirituality, study the teachings of Jesus, and encourage one another to live with greater awareness, purpose, and love.
My Hope for You
Whether you've studied astrology for years...
Or whether you've never read a horoscope in your life...
My encouragement is the same.
Stay curious.
Remain humble.
Seek truth wherever it leads.
But don't allow any external system to become more powerful than the wisdom God has been developing within you.
I believe your future isn't determined by the position of the stars.
It's shaped by the condition of your heart.
By the renewal of your mind.
By your willingness to grow.
By the love you choose to give.
By the truth you choose to live.
And by learning to recognize what I believe has been there all along—
the quiet guidance of God within.
