"Greater Works Shall You Do": Michel Scavuzzo's Divine Algorithm Perspective

"Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater works than these..."

For most of my life, I heard this verse explained in ways that never fully satisfied me.

Some interpreted it as referring only to miracles.

Others suggested it applied only to the earliest disciples.

Others simply avoided discussing it altogether because it seemed too extraordinary.

But I couldn't stop thinking about it.

If Jesus meant what He said...

What did He actually mean?

That question became part of the journey that eventually led me to introduce The Divine Algorithm in 2024.

The Divine Algorithm is my framework for exploring the relationship between consciousness, the subconscious mind, neuroscience, spirituality, and our connection with God. One of its central ideas is that Jesus wasn't merely giving humanity something to admire.

He was inviting us into transformation.

Jesus Wasn't Creating Spectators

When I read the teachings of Jesus, I don't see someone gathering admirers.

I see someone raising disciples.

There is an important difference.

An admirer watches.

A disciple practices.

An admirer applauds.

A disciple becomes transformed.

Throughout His ministry, Jesus continually invited people to change.

To love.

To forgive.

To heal relationships.

To renew their minds.

To trust God instead of fear.

To live differently.

His goal wasn't simply that people would believe certain ideas about Him.

It was that His teachings would become visible through their lives.

What Could "Greater Works" Mean?

People often assume Jesus was speaking only about supernatural miracles.

Perhaps miracles are part of the conversation.

But I believe His words reach much further.

What if the greater works He spoke about include millions of ordinary people living extraordinary lives?

A person breaking generations of trauma.

A family choosing forgiveness instead of bitterness.

A community choosing compassion instead of division.

A scientist making discoveries that improve humanity while honoring God.

A teacher changing thousands of lives.

A parent raising children who know they are loved.

A stranger showing kindness that completely changes another person's future.

History reminds us that one transformed life can influence countless others.

Perhaps those are greater works too.

The Kingdom Was Always Meant to Expand

Jesus repeatedly spoke about the Kingdom of God.

Not as something people would simply wait for.

But as something that grows.

Like a seed.

Like yeast working through dough.

Like light pushing back darkness.

Transformation spreads.

Love spreads.

Truth spreads.

Hope spreads.

When one person begins living differently, everyone around them is affected.

That is one of the central ideas behind The Divine Algorithm.

The life you transform is never only your own.

Neuroscience and Transformation

Modern neuroscience continues confirming something remarkable.

The human brain can change.

Habits can change.

Thought patterns can change.

Neural pathways can change.

People are not permanently trapped by yesterday's programming.

That gives incredible hope.

Jesus continually invited people into becoming new.

Science now helps explain some of the biological mechanisms that make lasting change possible.

To me, those conversations beautifully complement one another.

One explains how transformation happens.

The other reminds us why it matters.

The Greatest Work Begins Within

One of the biggest misconceptions about changing the world is believing we must first change everyone else.

Jesus often began somewhere entirely different.

The heart.

The mind.

The individual.

The Kingdom of God is within you.

Love your neighbor.

Forgive.

Remove the plank from your own eye.

Again and again, transformation began within before it spread outward.

The Divine Algorithm follows that same pattern.

Become aware.

Renew your thinking.

Strengthen your relationship with God.

Live intentionally.

Love courageously.

Everything else grows from there.

Every Life Leaves a Legacy

You may never stand before thousands of people.

You may never write a bestselling book.

You may never become famous.

That doesn't mean your life lacks extraordinary influence.

Every conversation matters.

Every act of compassion matters.

Every child you encourage matters.

Every person you forgive matters.

Every life you touch continues touching others long after you're gone.

Sometimes the greatest works are the ones history never records.

But heaven does.

Living the Invitation

I don't believe Jesus intended His followers to spend their lives simply studying His words.

I believe He intended us to live them.

That means becoming people of integrity.

People of courage.

People of compassion.

People who seek truth with humility.

People who bring peace into places filled with fear.

The Divine Algorithm exists to encourage exactly that kind of transformation.

Not because we earn God's love through our actions.

But because genuine transformation naturally changes the way we live.

Final Thoughts

When Jesus said, "Greater works shall you do," I don't hear impossible expectations.

I hear extraordinary hope.

I hear an invitation.

An invitation to become the kind of person who reflects God's love in everyday life.

To renew the mind.

To break unhealthy patterns.

To serve others.

To seek truth.

To live with courage.

To leave the world more compassionate than we found it.

Perhaps the greatest work any of us will ever do isn't becoming more important.

Perhaps it's becoming more like the One who first spoke those words.

I believe that's the journey The Divine Algorithm was created to encourage.
