The Research and Study That Helped Shape the Divine Algorithm
Overview
People sometimes ask me where the ideas behind The Divine Algorithm came from.
Did one book inspire it?
One teacher?
One spiritual experience?
The honest answer is no.
The Divine Algorithm wasn’t built from a single source. It emerged over years of studying many different disciplines while comparing them against something I consider even more important: direct human experience.
I’ve never been interested in collecting information simply to know more. My goal has always been to understand how life actually works. Whenever I encountered an idea—whether it came from science, psychology, philosophy, or ancient spiritual teachings—I asked the same question:
Does this help explain what people consistently experience in real life?
If the answer was yes, I kept exploring. If not, I moved on.
Looking for Common Ground
One of the things that fascinated me most was how often completely different fields seemed to point toward similar underlying principles.
Neuroscience studies how the brain changes through experience.
Psychology explores behavior, emotion, perception, and subconscious conditioning.
Quantum biology investigates how quantum processes may contribute to certain biological functions.
Information theory examines how information is stored, transmitted, and organized.
Ancient spiritual traditions ask timeless questions about consciousness, awareness, purpose, and our relationship with the divine.
At first glance, these subjects appear unrelated.
The more I studied them, however, the more I noticed recurring themes: patterns, adaptation, awareness, feedback, learning, and transformation.
Different languages.
Different methods.
Many of the same questions.
Science Was Never the Enemy of Spirituality
One of the greatest misconceptions of modern culture is that science and spirituality must compete with one another.
I don’t see them that way.
Science is incredibly powerful at investigating how the observable world functions through evidence and experimentation.
Spirituality, at its best, explores meaning, inner experience, and questions that science may not yet be able to fully measure.
When approached with humility, both invite us to remain curious.
Rather than forcing one to replace the other, I became interested in where they appear to complement one another.
The Role of Neuroscience
Neuroscience played a significant role in shaping my thinking because it helps explain how habits, attention, emotions, memory, and learned behaviors influence the way we experience the world.
Research on neuroplasticity demonstrates that the brain can change throughout life.
Studies on stress, attention, and emotional regulation continue to reveal how our mental and physical states influence one another.
These discoveries don’t prove spiritual beliefs.
But they do help explain why practices such as stillness, focused attention, gratitude, prayer, reflection, and intentional habits can have meaningful effects on how people think, feel, and behave.
Psychology and the Hidden Mind
Psychology helped deepen my understanding of the powerful role our subconscious patterns play in everyday life.
Many of our reactions occur automatically.
We often repeat familiar emotional responses before we consciously recognize what’s happening.
This insight became one of the foundations for The Other 95%, where I explore how unseen conditioning can quietly shape our choices until we become aware of it.
Awareness creates the possibility for change.

Information theory introduced another fascinating perspective.
Every living system depends on information.
Our DNA carries biological information.
Our nervous system constantly receives and processes information.
Our brains filter enormous amounts of sensory input every second.
Even our conversations are exchanges of information.
The more I reflected on these ideas, the more I became interested in how information, meaning, and human consciousness might relate—not as proven conclusions, but as questions worth exploring.
That curiosity became part of what eventually inspired the name The Divine Algorithm.
Ancient Wisdom Still Matters
I also spent years studying the teachings of Jesus alongside other ancient writings, historical sources, and spiritual traditions.
What interested me wasn’t building another belief system.
It was discovering recurring principles that have appeared across cultures and generations.
Again and again, I found invitations to become more present, to know ourselves, to act with compassion, to release fear, and to seek wisdom beyond appearances.
Those themes continue to resonate with people today.
Experience Remains the Greatest Teacher
As important as research has been, I don’t believe information alone transforms people.
Experience does.
You can read thousands of books about peace without becoming peaceful.
You can study love without learning how to love.
You can memorize spiritual teachings without ever living them.
Knowledge becomes wisdom only when it is tested through everyday life.
That’s why I encourage people to question, observe, practice, and discover.
Not because I want them to agree with me.
Because I want them to understand themselves.
An Ongoing Exploration
The Divine Algorithm is not a claim that every mystery has been solved.
It is an invitation to explore the relationship between science, consciousness, human behavior, and our inner lives with curiosity, humility, and discernment.
My research continues.
My understanding continues to evolve.
The questions continue.
If there is one lesson all these years of study have reinforced, it is this:
Truth is rarely found by defending a single discipline or ideology.
It is more often discovered by remaining open enough to recognize patterns wherever they appear, testing ideas against both evidence and lived experience, and never losing the curiosity to keep learning.
That spirit of exploration is, and always will be, at the heart of The Divine Algorithm.
