There Is Nothing Outside of the Divine Algorithm
Overview
One of the most misunderstood statements I make is this:
There is nothing outside of the Divine Algorithm.
When people first hear those words, some assume I’m talking about control.
I’m not.
Others assume I’m saying every event is predetermined.
I’m not saying that either.
What I mean is something much deeper.
If God is truly the source of all existence, then there can be no place where God is absent.
There can be no moment beyond God’s awareness.
No person beyond God’s reach.
No experience completely disconnected from the greater reality that gave rise to existence itself.
To me, that’s what the Divine Algorithm points toward.
Not a Computer Program
When I use the word algorithm, I’m not suggesting that life is a computer simulation or that we’re lines of code.
I’m describing an underlying order—a reality in which everything exists within a larger whole.
We discover patterns everywhere we look.
In nature.
In biology.
In physics.
In relationships.
In learning.
In consciousness.
The Divine Algorithm is my way of describing the possibility that these patterns are not isolated accidents but expressions of a deeper order woven throughout existence.
Even Resistance Exists Within It
People sometimes ask,
“What about evil?”
“What about suffering?”
“What about people who reject God?”
Those are difficult questions.
But notice something.
Even the ability to ask those questions exists within reality itself.
A fish cannot swim outside the ocean while it is still a fish.
Likewise, if all existence originates from the divine, then even our confusion, rebellion, doubt, and searching occur within that greater reality.
That doesn’t mean everything reflects God’s character equally.
Nor does it mean every human choice is good or wise.
It means nothing exists independently of the reality that makes existence possible.
Separation Is Often an Experience, Not a Location
Many people speak about feeling separated from God.
I understand that feeling.
But I don’t believe separation necessarily means God has moved away.
Sometimes it means we’ve become distracted.
Fear narrows our awareness.
Conditioning shapes our perception.
Pain causes us to withdraw.
Our experience may feel disconnected.
Yet the possibility of reconnecting has never disappeared.
The invitation has always remained.

One of the teachings that has influenced me most is Jesus’ statement that “the Kingdom of God is within you.”
To me, those words suggest something extraordinary.
If the Kingdom is within, then our search for God cannot be limited to external places, institutions, or rituals.
The journey inward isn’t an escape from reality.
It’s a deeper encounter with it.
The Divine Algorithm begins there—not by asking us to abandon the world, but by inviting us to become more aware of the presence already woven through it.
Every Experience Can Become a Teacher
If there is nothing outside the Divine Algorithm, then every experience has the potential to teach us.
Success can teach gratitude.
Failure can teach humility.
Loss can deepen compassion.
Questions can strengthen discernment.
Even mistakes can become turning points if we’re willing to learn from them.
That doesn’t mean suffering is inherently good.
It means suffering doesn’t have the final word.
Growth remains possible.
We Don’t Stand Outside Reality
One of the greatest illusions is believing we’re separate from the whole.
We often live as though we’re isolated individuals trying to force life to unfold according to our plans.
But what if wisdom begins when we recognize that we’re participants in something infinitely greater than ourselves?
Not powerless.
Not insignificant.
But connected.
Responsible.
Called to live with greater awareness of that connection.
Living Within the Divine Algorithm
If there is nothing outside the Divine Algorithm, then the question isn’t:
“How do I find God?”
The question becomes:
“How do I become more aware of the divine reality I already live within?”
That shift changes everything.
Instead of chasing certainty, we cultivate discernment.
Instead of trying to control every outcome, we learn to respond with wisdom.
Instead of asking life to revolve around us, we begin asking how we can live in greater alignment with truth, love, and compassion.
For me, that is the heart of the Divine Algorithm.
Not a system to escape into.
Not a belief to defend.
But an invitation to recognize that every breath, every relationship, every challenge, and every moment unfolds within a reality sustained by something far greater than ourselves.
If that is true, then there has never been a place where the divine was absent.
There has only been our growing awareness of what has been there all along.
