I don’t think they’re imagining it.
I also don’t think the answer is fear.
I think something much deeper is happening.
We Were Never Designed for Constant Noise
Your brain evolved in a world very different from the one we now inhabit.
For most of human history, there were long periods of silence.
Nature.
Conversation.
Reflection.
Walking.
Watching the sunrise.
Listening to the wind.
Today, many people consume more information before breakfast than previous generations encountered in days.
Notifications.
Headlines.
Videos.
Advertisements.
Opinions.
Arguments.
Predictions.
Entertainment.
Our attention is constantly being pulled outward.
When the mind never has an opportunity to become still, life can begin feeling strangely unreal—not because reality has changed, but because we’ve become disconnected from experiencing it directly.
The Subconscious Was Built for Patterns
One of the remarkable things about the subconscious mind is its ability to automate behavior.
Without it, we’d have to consciously think about every step we take, every word we speak, and every movement we make.
Autopilot is a gift.
Until it becomes our entire life.

Go to work…
Come home…
Scroll…
Sleep…
Repeat.
Years pass.
Not because anyone intended to stop living consciously.
Because unconscious habits quietly became the default.

One reason people struggle to hear their inner guidance is because they’re waiting for something dramatic.
A booming voice.
A supernatural sign.
Absolute certainty.
That hasn’t been my observation.
Inner guidance is usually much quieter.
It often feels like a gentle knowing.
A persistent nudge.
A sense of peace that remains even when circumstances are uncertain.
A subtle discomfort when something doesn’t align with your deepest values.
The problem isn’t that inner guidance is absent.
The problem is that constant noise makes subtle wisdom difficult to recognize.
The Nervous System Influences What You Perceive
Modern neuroscience continues teaching us something fascinating.
How we feel influences what we notice.
A chronically stressed nervous system tends to scan for danger.
An exhausted brain struggles with perspective.
A constantly distracted mind misses what is directly in front of it.
This is one reason I place so much importance on caring for the body.
Sleep.
Movement.
Sunlight.
Nutritious food.
Breath.
Nature.
Stillness.
These aren’t separate from your spiritual life.
They help create the conditions where clarity becomes more available.
The Divine Algorithm Is About Returning, Not Escaping
People sometimes ask me how to escape the world.
I usually answer differently than they expect.
I don’t think we’re here to escape life.
I think we’re here to become fully present within it.
The Divine Algorithm isn’t about withdrawing from reality.
It’s about removing the interference that keeps us from experiencing reality more honestly.
Fear.
Conditioning.
Endless distraction.
Old subconscious programs.
The more those begin settling, the more life begins feeling real again.
Not less.
What Is Your Inner Guidance Actually Saying?
When someone tells me the world suddenly feels strange or disconnected, I don’t immediately assume something mystical is happening.
I usually ask different questions.
Have you been living according to everyone else’s expectations?
Have you been ignoring what you already know deep down?
Have you been moving so quickly that you haven’t noticed your own life?
Have you confused constant activity with meaningful living?
Sometimes the uncomfortable feeling isn’t telling you that reality is breaking apart.
It’s inviting you to become more fully present within it.
It’s asking you to slow down.
To notice.
To listen.
To remember.
The Kingdom Within Is More Real Than the Noise
Jesus said,
“The Kingdom of God is within you.”
I’ve often reflected on how different those words sound in today’s world.
We’re constantly encouraged to search outward.
More information.
More entertainment.
More possessions.
More approval.
More distraction.
Yet Jesus pointed inward.
Not away from life.
Into the deepest place from which life is meant to be lived.
Perhaps that’s why so many people feel the world becoming increasingly unreal.
Not because reality itself is changing.
Because they’re beginning to recognize how much of modern life pulls them away from direct experience.
That recognition doesn’t have to produce fear.
It can become an invitation.
An invitation to become present again.
To walk in nature without rushing.
To listen more deeply than you speak.
To give your full attention to the person in front of you.
To care for your body as though it matters.
To protect your peace without closing your heart.
To become quiet enough to hear the wisdom that has never stopped speaking.
The world may continue becoming louder.
More connected.
More technological.
More complex.
But the one within remains unchanged.
Patient.
Steady.
Present.
Always inviting you back to what is real.
And perhaps the most real thing you’ll ever discover isn’t hidden somewhere beyond this world.
Perhaps it’s the quiet awareness that has been waiting beneath all the noise… your entire life.
